Astro App
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 August 2026
Astro App ("the App", "we", "us") is a Kundli (birth chart), numerology, and tarot app whose calculations run on-device. This policy explains, honestly and specifically, what information the App actually handles today, and how it will be handled as new features are added.
Current version, in plain terms: every calculation the App performs (planetary/Rashi/Nakshatra placements, numerology numbers, tarot card selection, Kundli Milan compatibility scoring) runs entirely inside the App on your own device. The App has an optional account, created with a one-time login code sent to your email — no password. You do not need an account to use any calculator in the App. If you do sign in, your saved birth profiles and Kundli Milan history are best-effort mirrored to our secured database so you can see them again if you reinstall or switch devices; the App still keeps its own local copy as the primary copy either way.
1. Birth details, name, and tarot draws — calculated on your device
- To generate a Kundli (birth chart), the App needs your birth date, time, and place. To generate a numerology report, it needs your name and date of birth. To draw tarot cards, the App picks from its own built-in 78-card deck. To run a Kundli Milan (compatibility) check, the App needs the same birth details for both people being compared.
- All of this is calculated entirely on your device by the App's own built-in calculation engine (astronomical formulas for planetary positions, standard Pythagorean/Chaldean numerology arithmetic, simple random card selection for tarot, and traditional Ashtakoot Guna Milan scoring rules for compatibility) — none of it calls an external AI service or a live astrologer, and none of it requires an internet connection to compute.
- If you are not signed in, none of this — your birth date, birth time, birth place, name, or tarot results — is ever uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server we operate. It stays on your device only.
- If you choose to sign in (Section 2 below) and save a birth profile or a Kundli Milan result, that specific saved entry is mirrored to our secured database, tied to your account, so you can see it again on another device. Birth profiles/Kundli results you never save, and any calculation you run without being signed in, are never sent anywhere.
2. Account (optional) — email-based login, no password
- Signing in is optional and only needed to save/sync your birth profiles and Kundli Milan history across devices, and to see a personalized daily horoscope. If you sign in, we collect and store your email address to send you a one-time login code and to identify your account.
- No camera or microphone access. The App's astrology, numerology, and tarot features do not use your device's camera or microphone.
- No advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. The App does not embed any ad network or analytics/tracking library.
- No location data. "Birth place" is text/coordinates you type in yourself for the Kundli calculation — the App does not read your device's live GPS location.
3. Basic device/app data
Like almost any Android app, standard technical information (app version, device/OS type) may be visible to the Google Play Store as part of normal app distribution and crash reporting built into Android itself — this is Google Play's own platform behavior, not something the App separately collects or has access to.
4. Who can see your data
Nobody but you can see your birth details, name, tarot results, or saved Kundli/Milan history — this data is protected by database-level access rules (row-level security) restricted to your own signed-in account; even we do not browse it directly in the ordinary course of running the App. We do not sell, rent, or share any personal data with any third party.
5. Deleting your account and your data
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account inside the App. Deleting your account permanently removes your login (email), your saved birth profiles, and your Kundli Milan history from our database. Any calculation data that only ever existed on your device (i.e., anything you never saved while signed in, or used before ever signing in) can be removed at any time by clearing it in the App or by uninstalling the App.
6. Your rights under India's DPDP Act, 2023
This App is provided from India. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), as a Data Principal you have the right to:
- Access a summary of any personal data we hold about you. If you are not signed in, we hold none. If you are signed in, you can already see everything we hold (your email, saved birth profiles, Kundli Milan history) directly inside the App's History screen; you may also write to the grievance contact below for a formal export.
- Correction and erasure. Saved birth profiles and Kundli Milan history can be edited or deleted directly inside the App's History screen at any time. Your account (email + all saved data) can be fully deleted via Settings → Delete Account, or by writing to the grievance contact below.
- Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account (Section 5 above) — this stops all further collection and removes what was already stored.
- Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity, by writing to the grievance contact below.
- Grievance redressal — see Section 7 below for how to raise a complaint, before you have the right to approach India's Data Protection Board.
7. Grievance Officer / Consent Manager contact
For any privacy question or complaint about how your data is handled, contact us at support.rankpur@gmail.com. We aim to acknowledge and respond to any such request within a reasonable time, consistent with the DPDP Act's grievance-redressal requirements.
8. Children's privacy
The App is intended for adult users. Under India's DPDP Act, 2023, a "child" is anyone under 18 years of age. This version of the App does not knowingly target or collect personal data from children, and does not currently include an age-verification step. If you believe a child has used the App and you have a privacy concern, contact us at the email in Section 7.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to this policy — most notably, if we add an account feature that collects personal data for the first time — we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where required, notify you in the App before the change takes effect.
